Natalie Van Ogtrop

Sustainability Manager

Natalie was born and raised in Bangkok and moved away after high school to explore her roots in the Netherlands. Despite the terrible weather, she fell in love with the people, the ‘bitterballen’ (a popular Dutch snack), and made it home for almost 10 years.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Hotelschool The Hague, and has gained experience in both operational and corporate roles within hotels. As an F&B trainee, she worked at the Gleneagles hotel in Scotland and later joined the sustainability team at Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas.

Like many in the industry, COVID-19 threw her career off course, but it didn’t take long for her to realize that she wanted to find her way back to sustainable tourism. Determined to help shape a more responsible future for both the planet and its people, she pursued a master’s in Sustainable Business Transition. However, it wasn’t until she spent four months traveling across Asia that she truly reconnected with her hospitality roots.

Natalie believes that meaningful connections with people and communities are the key to driving real change, whether it’s environmental or social. When she’s not working, you’ll probably find her with her friends & family, out in nature, or hunting down the best food spots in town.
